The Doctors Surgery receptionist left a message on my answer phone this morning:
"Ms Sally, when you come in to have your staples removed on Wednesday, the Nurse said please bring the stapler, sorry, staple remover, with you."
WTF?!

Erm, did you have to do the surgery too?!
Well, our Glorious Govenment is full of people who say that people must take responsibility for their own health!
Have you got any tin-snips?
SE - Well I don't THINK I was taking an active part in my surgery, but who knows what happens (as CD said earlier) when one is in theatre.
CD you are cruel, tin snips never occured to me, until now !
I wouldn't even know what exactly I would have to bring in that case.
The staple remover (a cross between scissors and tin snips _ yes CD knew what he was referrng to) arrived in the post today from Soton Neuro, so the Nurse was able to do her job. I still look dreadful but I no longer glint. It still hurts. I am feeling very sorry for myself, which will pass.
Thanks BM.
Hope you it all heals up soon. :-)
Thank you Goldfish. I bought a hat today, which helps (not just retail therapy) but I still cannot achieve a quizzically raised eye brow without pain. It will mend.
A hat or A Hat?
(see Lady Bracknell's example)
I have been following the unfolding tale of Lady Bracknell's Editor's (!) Hat with much excitement. Truly, a stupendous Hat and a fantastic day for all concerned.
